Upacara 3 Bulan, 3 month Ceremony in Bali

when in Bali, I spent a day with a very good friend, Kadek, at a baby’s 3 month ceremony. This is when a Balinese baby touches the ground for the first time ever in his/her life and it is also the time that her/his name is confirmed.
Here is Putu Liana Maharani Putri with her parents at her ceremony which was firstly held at the beach and then at her grandparents place. Putu is a relative of Kadek’s husband.
We headed down to the beach at about 8am and the ceremony was just starting. We headed home about 4pm so it was a full day! People just turned up for as long as they wanted. Kadek made sure we stayed until all the major parts of the ceremony were completed so I could see it all.
Enjoy a brief taste of a Balinese ceremony. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and hopefully I can explain!
